Religion is a system. Many systems, many religions. Systems are made by man (meaning mankind, from here on always refering to men and women), used by men, passed on by men and  subject to be altered, used and responded to/observed by men. Truth, God, religiousness and freedom, or whichever name we wish to name that which we seek or aspire to, or are concerned about, is not man-made, nor is it corruptible or influencable. It has nothing to do with man or his limited ways, hence it has nothing to do with religion. This does not mean that religion is either good or bad, yet as something man-made it is primarily a tool and as such can be used in many different ways. As for myself, I like to use it and have found it useful at many instances of my life. Yet it seems obvious that religion and truth/religiousness/god (not the concepts or ideas we have about them, but that which actually is) have absolutely nothing to do with each other. It seems that truth is not concerned with mankind, it is not concerned with anything at all.. and maybe that is the beauty of it.
